Common Symptoms & Causes
of Sensitive Skin
 

Blemishes - caused by oily skin and high levels of the bacteria P. acnes. Avoid products that clog or dry out pores. Also, some natural ingredients such as coconut oil and avocado can cause blemishes.

Redness – a common sensitive skin condition with no known cause marked by facial flushing, pimples and broken blood vessels. Avoid products with Vitamin C and alpha hydroxy acid that are acidic and can cause stinging.

Burning & Stinging – many causes are still unknown. Science has yet to discover what nerves or skin components are involved. However, if you have sensitive skin, avoid products with lactic acid, azaelic acid, glycolic acid, Vitamin C and alpha hydroxy acid.

  1. Wash & rinse your face as usual.

  2. Moisten a cotton pad/ball and gently apply to your face or splash on directly from the bottle to remove soap residue and impurities.
